I stopped playing Oblivion before I finished it. Don’t get me wrong—I’ve beaten it enough times to know where it all leads, but my most recent playthrough was just unbearably boring. It’s just really not that good of a game unless you’re blindly devoted to Bethesda, and it’s in that awkward place that games find themselves in when they try to appeal to too many people at once. Basically, there’s a lot of stuff to find and do, and none of it is remotely interesting. How I ever adored this game is beyond me, but I was new to PC gaming back then.
