Check out my review here: Sacred Gold review
Sacred Gold is fixed at a 1024×768 resolution, which is just one of several nagging little annoyances, but it’s still the kind of game that I’d be willing to play through again. It nails that “just one more mob of enemies and then I’ll stop playing” feeling of progression that makes you lose track of time until it’s 4 AM and your eyes are bloodshot from slaying thousands upon thousands of monsters for loot and XP. It doesn’t hurt that the vampiress, the class I elected to play as, is totally awesome. There’s nothing quite as amusing as listening to her muse about how she loves large cities because no one will miss one or two people.
These screenshots may take a bit longer to load than you’d expect of 1024×768 jpg files. The high contrast of the pre-rendered art style that was prevalent around the time of the game’s release causes the image file sizes to be much larger than even modern games’ higher-resolution screenshots.
