Check out my review of the game here: Papo & Yo review

Papo & Yo is one of those games that highlights both the best and worst games can offer as a storytelling medium, creating some incredibly emotional moments that are bettered for your involvement as a player while occasionally allowing the metaphors to become so unclear (especially those involving Alejandra, the girl who guides you through much of the game) that it borders on the indecipherable.

Still, its positives far outweigh the negatives. It’s also surprisingly pretty at times; there’s something about how the light bounces off of Monster’s skin that made me notice his interesting texture.
