I didn’t like World of Goo. Yes, I know everyone loves it, but I own both the PC and Android version of the game and have failed on many separate occasions to play to the end. It just doesn’t hold my interest, which is a large part of the reason why I went into Little Inferno with such low expectations. Not only was the game made by some of the people who worked on World of Goo (if Wikipedia is to be trusted), but the general aesthetic is also very similar. Additionally, I remembered hearing that the game consisted of burning things endlessly with no real reason behind any of it. Imagine my surprise when I ended up loving Little Inferno and discovering that there’s an endearingly insane story in it that compels you to continue playing.
