After playing through three straight sRPGs with 30-40 hours of content in them (and on the 3DS platform, which means each individual screenshot required sitting through the 10-15 second Miiverse animation, adding another 10 or so hours to each), I was in the mood for something lighter. Something smaller. Something that wouldn’t make me want to garrote someone with piano wire. Grow Home seemed like the safest bet since I’d never really heard anything negative about it apart from complaints about its length, which was one of the things that drew me to it in the first place, and it ended up being about what I expected—a short, enjoyable game.
