This is actually one of the first PC games I’ve ever owned, and it was a blast from the past to finally get it working in DOSBox. Coming at the game as a little kid who thought that getting into dogfights was the coolest thing in existence, I remember liking it quite a bit. If you go into the game with a similar mindset and intend to just mess around, then you can actually have quite a bit of fun with it. If you want to actually play through its campaigns, however, then you’ll be forced to wade through so many annoying escort missions and other types of objectives that the controls aren’t conducive to achieving that the entire thing becomes equal parts chore and bore. Nostalgia aside, this game has a lot of serious problems.
